HighTecDay 2015: Packed event at Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup
Buttenheim, 05 March 2015: After its highly successful 2014 event, Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup’s contracting division decided to stage the second edition of its HighTecDay on 4 March at its HQ in Buttenheim, Germany. Again, there was more on display than just Salzbrenner products: the number of partner companies was overwhelming and allowed the invited specialist audience to discover a broad range of product developments as well as to exchange impressions. In addition to Sennheiser and Crestron, Merging, Brähler and L’acoustics as well as two Mediagroup members, DELEC and Stage Tec, had expressed interest in taking part. The mix of concise presentations and ample time for hands-on experience of the solutions on display was highly appreciated by over 150 visitors.
Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup’s contracting division, Salzbrenner Stagetec Audio Video Mediensysteme GmbH, once again presented a highly successful mix of in-house fair and workshops during the 2015 edition of its HighTecDay, thus allowing planning engineers, users as well as audio and video professionals to discover new solutions and discuss them with colleagues. The highly interesting programme comprising presentations and concurrent hands-on sessions on numerous product islands again proved a winner among visitors.
A multifaceted programme
On display were new products from Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup members, like Stage Tec’s programmable Nexus® Logic Control module, Salzbrenner’s Polaris Evolution networked mixing console and Brähler’s expandable modular conference system. The presentations covered a vast array of audio and video subjects, like the advantages of DANTE™ networks for intercom applications (DELEC), and the integration of live mixing consoles with DAW systems for theatre, opera and ballet productions (Merging). Additional presentations covered the challenges posed by 4K video signal distribution (Christie) and new aspects of room acoustics (Fraunhofer). The speakers were experts like MBA Harald Bachsteffel from the paging and alarm systems sector and seasoned users, such as the inspector Johannes Boehner of the Linz Theatre.
Planning engineers were treated to a dedicated workshop about currents trends and upcoming challenges for the project business. The day closed with a guided tour of the organising company’s premises.
Come-together at the previous evening
An informal get-together on the eve of the HighTechDay allowed attendants to get to know each other. This pre-show event was animated by light artist Norbert Wirner who had dreamed up a masterful way of illuminating the Buttenheim premises.
“Our HighTecDay has proven the perfect event where audio and video professionals meet planning officers and users in an informal atmosphere and are able to familiarise themselves with new approaches for their activities,” muses Rainer Hettwer, project manager of Salzbrenner Stagetec Audio Video Mediensysteme GmbH.
“All partner companies recognised the event’s importance for one-on-one advice. The first bookings were in only hours after we announced the event, and quite a few have already confirmed for the 2016 edition. Thanks to the high-profile event package, a well thought-out and thoroughly organised programme, the bulk of last year’s attendants did not hesitate to come again,” adds Anja Korn, Marketing Communication Manager of Salzbrenner Stagetec Audio Video Mediensysteme GmbH
It therefore comes as no surprise that the Buttenheim-based group of companies is already busy booking speakers for next year’s HighTecDay.
