HighTecDay spotlight 2017: New Event Format dedicated to “Theatre over IP”
Buttenheim, July 2017: On 11th of July 2017, SALZBRENNER media’s HQ in Buttenheim (Germany) hosted its first HighTecDay spotlight. Based on the successful concept of HighTecDay, this event focused on workshops for selected customers by various manufacturers on the subject of “Theatre over IP – Future or Present?”
Further to customer requests, SALZBRENNER media developed the spotlight event format for 2017 which combines proven elements of the HighTecDay with a clear focus on the subject. With a view to giving delegates the opportunity to share their thoughts and participate in in-depth discussions about professional topics, this year’s edition was aimed at the theatre industry with deliberately fewer participants.
On 11th of July 2017, around 30 theatre specialists were invited to discuss the topic “Theatre over IP – Future or Present?” at SALZBRENNER media’s HQ in Buttenheim (Germany). The day-long partner event with Sennheiser, Riedel, Clear-Com and Panasonic offered a broad spectrum of products and services which were presented comprehensively via rolling workshops and the accompanying exhibition.
The programme covered a host of subjects, from Intercom-over-IP, state-of-the-art mixing console concepts and video software, all the way to cutting-edge microphone technology. The feedback from participants and exhibitors was overwhelmingly positive.: “Highly informative, a top-notch selection of products and exhibitors, competent hands-on opportunities, ample time—which is not usually possible at trade fairs—fruitful discussions, excellent food, the opportunity to share impressions… this is a great event,” is what Sebastian Geißler (Mainzplus Citymarketing GmbH) thought of the day.
Silvan Zeller, a presenter for mci/Clear-Com, added: “This was a highly interesting event, thanks mainly to the cosy atmosphere. The event was perfectly organised—I joined a number of fascinating, intense discussions quite unlike the usual small talk at major trade fairs. I also received very valuable feedback about our products and found the time to talk with representatives of other manufacturers, which is essential for the further development of our products.”
Marco Kraft, Sales Manager of SALZBRENNER media, summed it up as follows: “Small-scale, themed events lead to a very personal atmosphere. This makes it easy to discuss details and individual questions which would be lost in other situations. Since the two formats HighTecDay spotlight and HighTecDay are very different, I can already confirm that both of them are justified in the future.”
The day concluded in a typically Franconian way: a get-together in a beer garden.
