The Centro Congressi e Fiere in Arezzo, Italy has opted for VIVACE
Arezzo, Italy, September 2012: The great auditorium of Arezzo’s recently refurbished Centro Congressi e Fiere is a classic example of Italian design and architecture. It features wood-panelled walls, soft natural light from above and noble style. The almost 1000 m2 of space is used mainly for conventions but also for conferences, fashion shows, banquets and in particular for classical concerts. Since June 2012 a VIVACE Acoustic System from the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP has ensured optimum acoustics no matter what the auditorium is used for. VIVACE’S main task: to make a convention hall suitable for classical concerts.
The Arezzo installation includes four Neumann mics above the main stage, a full redundant VIVACE mainframe with two processors, and a NEXUS audio network for routing the output signals to six LabGruppen C20.8 amplifiers. A great deal of attention was paid to speaker installation. 22 Kling & Freitag Sona 5 speakers are concealed in the ceiling, which – without VIVACE – would have been a potential source of acoustical problems because of the built-in roof light windows. Another 20 speakers embedded in the wall panels plus four subwoofers complete the sound system. The entire installation was planned by Italian general contractor A&Y Media in close consultation with the architect.
»VIVACE matches the needs of the Centro perfectly because the main auditorium’s architecture and furnishing could thus be optimised for conventions without compromising its qualities as a venue for classical concerts. This results in a financially viable and attractive option for dual purpose use«, said Bjorn van Munster, Product Manager for VIVACE at the MEDIAGROUP.
